The Annual Extra Special Sexy Spin in support of the California AIDS LifeCycle Riders is TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 26, 2015, 7:00am!
Yes, it is that time of year again. Every last week in May, we do a little extra something to send off the amazing and inspiring Riders who will be heading off to San Francisco later this week to begin the Ride of a lifetime! A lifechanging event! A fundraiser like no other! Thousands of Riders have been training for the past 10 months or so. They have also been raising funds by seeking sponsors. Training includes actual road rides almost every weekend. Many supplement their outdoor rides with indoor cycling as well. A fundraising minimum of $3,000 must be met and many far surpass that minimum. Last year, almost 3000 Riders raised over $15 million! Help make this year an even bigger success! Beneficiaries are the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Many of the Riders are our fellow members here at Crunch Fitness - Sunset. Many of them you workout alongside everyday. You may know them, but you may not know how much time and effort they have donated for such a worthy cause! In addition to the training and fundraising they have been doing for so long already, they are also taking off 7 days of work on their own time and riding 80-100 miles each day for a total of 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles. They leave San Francisco this upcoming Sunday, May 31st and cross the finish line in Los Angeles next Saturday, June 6th. Obviously, this is no small sacrifice. This is no small commitment. This is no small undertaking. So let's show them how much appreciate their time and efforts, their sacrifice and volunteerism, their good hearts and detemined minds! Thanks you 2015 California AIDS LifeCycle Riders! Tomorrow morning's annual Extra Special Sexy Spin is a very small way of showing our appreciation for all that you all have done and are doing! You inspire us! You motivate us! You impress us! You are awesome! Thank you!
