In honor of the life and music of Olivia Newton-John who passed away this past Monday, August 8, 2022, I am playing some of her songs in my classes this week. She was a big influence in the development of my musical tastes as I grew up loving her music as she began as a country artist, then as her introduction as a musical actress in the roles of Sandy in "Grease" and Kira in "Xanadu", and then on to her meteoric rise as a pop icon with the hit, "Physical". I would often play remixes of her songs in class. So, to Olivia Newton-John, thanks for the music!

Today is the 24th anniversary of my very first spin class as an instructor. August 2, 1998. 24 years ago. Below is a picture of the cassette tape upon which I recorded my first track list. Wow. I never thought I'd still be teaching. But I've always said, when I don't love it anymore or when I'm not having fun, then I'll quit. Well, I'm still having fun and I still love it!
