Wow! What an amazing Ride with Tommy! This morning's Sexy Spin became a Sexy Superhero Spin as Crunch once again exhibited how it is THE place where fitness meets entertainment! As the movie, The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, opens tonight in late night screenings across the country, Crunch celebrates the superheroes that we encounter everyday...our members, trainers and instructors! Crunch is one of those rare institutions where amazing individuals come together to make a positive difference. Members often want to make a difference in their lives. Trainers and instructors bring their amazing skills and talents to the table to help our members reach their goals and make that positive difference everyday! I believe that everyone who wants to improve their life as well as the lives of others is a superhero! For every positive change that a member makes in both their mental and physical health and well-being, the world becomes a better place. For every person that makes their life healthier and happier, a contribution is made to the world to help make it collectively happier and healthier! This statement may seem grandiose and over-hyped, but I don't think so. So often, we encounter so many things in our lives, in our daily routines, that can bring a person down, frown or feel sad or mad. This happens way too often and way too easy. What a great thing to do to try to help reduce or eliminate these negative instances! In my classes, I try to stress the ability to create a positive energy that can result in a positive change. Yes, it takes hard work, but it can be done. And then I often remind riders as they leave class that not only have they accomplished something extraordinary in class, but that they can carry that positive energy with them all day as they face the "real world" outside of the spinning room doors. In class, we create challenges and obstacles that we overcome, that makes us stronger, that moves us closer to realizing our personal goals. This is such a positive experience! So when we encounter things that may be a little less than postive in the "real world", we can remember what we were able to do in class, the challenges and obstacles that we overcame, the positive energy that we created, the changes and goals that we reached, the expectations that we exceeded. Yes, all of this can happen in a simple spin class. Every little bit can make a big difference. Every positive change can create more positive changes. Every accomplishment builds confidence, hope and strength. We are all amazing. We can all contribute so much. We are all superheroes!
