Okay, yes, this track list is a little "non-current". That's because today is my actual birthday, and I wanted to play some of my favorite SPIN songs that I've used over the years (not THAT many years!) So these are some of my favorites and judging by the energy that everyone brought into class today, some music doesn't become outdated. Hopefully, neither do some spinning instructors! I say that today is my ACTUAL birthday because I want to celebrate my birthday in my favorite class of the week, Thursday morning's Sexy Spin. This morning's class was a great big celebration! Not only did we celebrate the fact that we were all physically and mentally there in class and able to work out and challenge ourselves as much as we possibly can (which is a fact that we should never take for granted!), we also celebrated some lifetime milestones of a few Ride with Tommy! regulars! Happy birthday to Maureen! Maureen has celebrated at least 8 birthdays with the Ride with Tommy! And she has even celebrated a few anniversaries of her 36-year marriage to her husband Larry with us! And speaking of anniversaries, Phil and Allison will be celebrating theirs before too long as they just recently were engaged! How great is that!?!? Thanks to Maureen, Phil and Allison for sharing their very special milestones with us, and I wish you all many many more years of love and happiness and health!

So this morning's track list intrigued me. I have been focusing on all new music lately after my month full of Awesome '80s Wednesdays in August. And there has been so much new and great music released just recently. However, I took a look at this morning's track list and while all the music is new, the artists sure provide quick an eclectic mix of today and yesterday. From the perennial favorite, Cher, duetting with the larger-than-life life-force, Lady Gaga, to the oh-so-controversial Miley Cyrus to...dare I say it?...wait for it...THE VILLAGE PEOPLE?!?! Yes, The Village People have released a new song! And it is kinda fun! There is even Michael Jackson (with one of his last recordings before he died) duetting with Justin Bieber! Now, that duet obviously happened via technology and I believe was available by a leak online for a very short period of time. Yet, I have it here for you today! (shhhh!) Finally, I have also included the new single from a former Crunch member and "Ride with Tommy!-er", Emrhys Cooper. Emrhys is an amazing talent and talented in so many ways!
