@prince @guybaruch #sexyspin Life is so many things. It is amazing. It is difficult. It is a celebration. It is love. It is short. We are reminded so many times about the many facets of life that sometimes we take to the fullest advantage and other times we let slip by without a second thought. The past couple of weeks for me has been a reminder of so many things. While I am completely grateful for my amazing family and life that we have created and are able to share everyday, I was especially reminded of the importance of friends, focusing on and sharing your talents, and working to improve your health and well-being. The world lost an amazing talent in the passing of Prince. I have been playing his songs in everyone of my classes for the past week. His surprising death is a reminder that life is short and that we should live every moment to the fullest. Also this week, one of my best friends, fellow @crunchgym instructors, and one of my favorite people on the Earth, Guy Baruch, finally released a new single, "Singing". Guy is such a huge talent. In the past few years, he has dedicated his life to helping other artists develop their talents. Well, for the first time in 7 years, he released a new single where he is once again sharing his unbelievable, God-given talent with the world. I was honored to play it in class this past week. And he is allowing everyone to download it for free at https://soundcloud.com/templebase/guy-singing-final4-2016. All he is asking is that you consider a donation to his fundraising efforts for this year's California AIDS/LifeCycle Ride to End AIDS (http://www.tofighthiv.org/site/TR?px=3215094&fr_id=1880&pg=personal) How amazing is that?!?! And each of us has such an important and vital contribution to the world. Don't hide it! Don't be afraid to share it! As I say all the time in my classes, everyone one of us in each class is no longer an individual, alone, on our own. We are in a group fitness class and therefore part of a group. And together, as each one of us contributes, we can create such positive energy that allows each and everyone of us to push ourselves further than we thought we were going to. Further than we did the last time. Further than we thought we could! That positive energy. That contribution that each of us can make. That change that everyone of us can make in our workouts. In our bodies. In our minds. In our thoughts and views of ourselves and our places in the world. Can lead to so much more outside of the spin room. It is so easy to discount or dismiss what we do. Don't. Don't let the importance of your efforts to improve, strengthen, change be minimized in any way. It all starts somewhere. Why not here? Why not in a spin class? Why not in the Ride with Tommy! Come to class! Celebrate life! Celebrate your life! Celebrate your talents! Celebrate your efforts! It is all so worth it. Remember that! I hope to see you in class soon! Until then, in good health... tommy
