A couple of times a year, I put together a special class that creates a lot of fun and excitement while promoting friends, their projects, and a very worthwhile charity. This time, I am working with Chad Allen to promote his fundraising bike ride, the Baby Dragon 180 Ride from LA to Santa Barbara, October 17-18, 2009 which benefits the LA Gay & Lesbian Center's Mental Health Services, Crystal Meth Recovery Services, and programs for GLBT youth. For more information and complete details, check out the website at
BABY DRAGON 180 RIDE
I also want to bring attention to the Camp Crunch – Red Line Ride 6-Week Intensive. This will be the second time that Crunch will offer this first-of-its-kind program here at Crunch on Sunset! This educational 6-week program will begin Tuesday, September 8 and end Saturday, October 17th. It is made up of a series of 12 semi-private classes (two per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:15-9am or 5-5:45pm), and enrollment is limited to 10-12 people. There is an additional cost for the program above your membership of $299 which includes a Suunto heart rate monitor for you to input and record you own personal information. Also included will be access to Crunch's brand new online fitness software, dotFIT. A series of challenging rides and a true maximum heart rate test are just a part of the program which is open to Crunch members and non-members alike. If interested, please see me after class!
Back to tomorrow morning's Special Sexy Spin, I'll be featuring new music from Jason Dottley, star of Sordid Lives: The Series. The creator, writer and director of Sordid Lives: The Series, Del Shores, will also be in attendance. I'll also be featuring new music by Capitol Records recording artist, Lolene.
I will also be featuring the creator/writer/producer of the animated series “Rick & Steve the Happiest Gay Couple in All the World” and the “Eating Out” movies, Allan Brocka. And the director and cast of the latest film, “Eating Out: All You Can Eat,” Glenn Gaylord, Michael Walker and Chris Salvatore.
Just as I have done in the past, I will be giving out prizes at the end of class by drawing bike numbers. I will also be putting together gift bags for every rider in class. Prizes and gift bags will be made possible by:
1. Sunstyle Tanning
2. American Apparel
3. Rockstar Energy Drinks
4. Eating Out Movies (DVDs of 1 & 2)
5. Sordid Lives: The Series (DVD of Season 1)
6. Suunto Sports Instruments (heart rate monitor)
7. Lululemon Athletica
All in all, this is just a way to build excitement, fun, awareness and buzz for the Sexy Spin class, Crunch's new Camp Crunch: Red Line Ride 6-week Intensive (a heart rate monitor based training program) and the Baby Dragon 180 Ride! I look forward to seeing you at Sexy Spin tomorrow morning at 7:00am at Crunch on Sunset!
