And this morning's random drawing prize went to Cole and was given away to help raise awareness for Uprising of Love (http://www.uprisingoflove.org). Take a look at the final "running" song of class today, Melissa Etheridge's "Uprising of Love." Melissa is the co-founder of Uprising of Love and wrote this song specifically for this organization. The proceeds from this song go directly to help and support the LGBT community in Russia. So please, buy this song or make a donation if you can! Each week in February I will be giving away a small prize at random in a different class each week while giving a "shout out" to a different charity or cause. I'm doing this to Celebrate February Resolutions! If you've already made new year resolutions, commit to them even more now! If you didn't make them this year or if you did and haven't fully committed to them, now is the perfect time to do it! Or even if you don't believe in resolutions, just celebrate the fact that you are committed to your own health, fitness and well-being! I appreciate so much that you have chosen the Ride with Tommy! to help you in your fitness goals. I am inspired and motivated by your commitment. I believe in the change you can make in even the smallest increment. I've been talking a lot about change in this new year of 2014. For the month of January, I've been asking you to commit to change. Whether it be the smallest change in your workout in class, or the desire to commit and make a bigger difference in the results you get from your commitment in class, I have focused on the change being in you and your workout. Well now in February, the second month of the new year, I'm asking to add another element to your focus...the element of changing the world around you. The Uprising of Love movement is supporting the LGBT community in Russia as we have become witness to a horrific denial of basic human rights there just as the world's spotlight is thrust on the Olympics in Sochi. It has been said that change begins with you. I want you to experience the positive change that you can make in yourself by committing to your workouts as a way to improve and lengthen your life. And now I hope you can realize the change you can make in the world by committing, even in the smallest way, to movements, causes or organizations that help to defend or improve lives of people near to you or even those across the world. Thanks for being a part of this. Thanks for being a part of the Ride with Tommy!
